The Dallas Mavericks met with superstar free agent Dwight Howard on Tuesday. Though there have been no reports indicating what was discussed during the presentation, that's exactly how Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wants it, according to ESPN's Tim McMahon.

Details on Dwight Howard’s meeting with the Mavericks have been scarce, but that’s exactly how Dallas wants it.

“We never talk about what we do. We don’t test the waters in the media. We don’t troll on Twitter,” Cuban wrote to McMahon in an e-mail.
Cuban goes on to say that the privacy Dallas operates under allows the Mavs to have more open conversations with teams and players.

Dallas is one of five teams in the running to land Howard, the NBA’s most coveted free agent this summer. The Mavericks were the fourth team to make a pitch to Howard. A decision from the superstar center will reportedly come on Friday.
The Mavericks group included Cuban, Dirk Nowitzki, president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson, head coach Rick Carlisle, athletic trainer Casey Smith and director of analytics Roland Beech.
Nowitzki’s contract with the Mavericks expires at the end of the 2013-2014 season, and he has indicated he would be willing to take a “significant pay cut” in order for Dallas to attract free agents in the future.
