Update: Dwight Howard picked the Rockets.

Dwight Howard had settled on signing with the Houston Rockets according to multiple reports on Friday, but now the free agent center might be having a change of heart. Howard is "50/50" now on his decision to leave the Lakers, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

The decision to leave $30 million on the table is weighing on Howard, according to reports. Howard has flown from Colorado to Los Angeles to meet with Lakers brass to discuss his decision, whatever it may be.

We do know Howard has informed the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors each are out of the running for his services. While Rockets GM Daryl Morey may have already begun planning around Howard's talents by reportedly going after free agent forward Josh Smith and Pelicans shooter Ryan Anderson, Howard continues to hold the entire situation hostage by delaying his decision.

Most signs point to a resolution coming soon, but Howard’s own history suggests it isn’t always that easy.
