The Los Angeles Lakers reached out to free agent forward Lamar Odom recently to check on a possible reunion, Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles reports. She adds that it's "been hard to determine how high [the] interest level is on either side thus far."
NBA free agency: Lakers reportedly reach out to Lamar Odom
Could a reunion between the Lakers and Lamar Odom be in the works?

A star player for L.A. during its most recent run of championships, Odom had an unfortunate falling out with the franchise following the vetoed Chris Paul deal. After being included in the failed trade that would have brought Paul to the Lakers, Odom wanted out and soon found himself on the Dallas Mavericks.
Clearly unhappy with the Mavericks during his time there, Odom fell out of shape and struggled badly before leaving the team prior to the end of the 2011-12 season. He was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers before last season, playing all 82 games with the club but never looking like the old version of himself.
The Lakers need to reload after missing out on Dwight Howard, so a reunion with Odom could be a stopgap while the club bides its time. He would certainly come cheap.
