Jeff Pendergraph a surprising signing by the Spurs

I'm not that enthusiastic about Jeff Pendergraph myself because, to me, he just seems like another big body. He can shoot a little bit, will rebound and is fairly mobile, but that could describe a lot of guys on the fringes of the NBA. While he should defend better than DeJuan Blair, so could a D-League guy.

The Spurs, though, have earned the benefit of the doubt with players like him, so while I wouldn't have given him a two-year contract, there's probably something I'm missing.
