NBA free agency rumors: Andre Iguodala and Randy Foye trade between Jazz, Nuggets and Warriors set

A three-way deal will give the Golden State Warriors Andre Iguodala, the Nuggets a trade exception and Randy Foye and the Jazz a shot to rebuild.

The trade that will send Randy Foye to the Denver Nuggets and allow them to receive a trade exception worth $12 million for outgoing forward Andre Iguodala is set. The Deseret News on Monday confirmed a report from Yahoo! Sports that said Foye would be part of a sign-and-trade that will earn him $9 million in the next three seasons.

Iguodala had already agreed upon a four-year, $48 million contract with the Warriors but will now be part of a sign-and-trade that gives Denver a year to use the trade exception. Utah will receive a future second-round pick from the Warriors.

The three-way trade also gives the Warriors enough cap flexibility to sign rookie Serbian Nemanja Nedovic.

Foye will give the Nuggets three-point shooting that could have been gone with the potential free agency departure of Corey Brewer. Foye set Utah franchise three-point shooting marks in makes and attempts last year. He shot 41 percent from deep and averaged 10.8 points per game.

The loss of Foye makes Utah's development of shooting guard Alec Burks all the more important. The 21-year-old averaged 7.0 points per game last year, but he could also find competition for minutes with Brandon Rush, who was acquired in a separate deal between Utah and Golden State.
