Tracy McGrady officially announced his retirement from the NBA on ESPN's "First Take" Monday morning.

The two-time scoring champion averaged 19.6 points over the course of his 16-year NBA career before calling it quits on Monday.

McGrady didn't play at all last regular season, but joined the San Antonio Spurs for their playoff run to the NBA Finals. The 34-year-old appeared in six postseason games, not scoring a single point while getting just over five minutes of action per game.
McGrady was drafted No. 9 overall out of high school by the Toronto Raptors in the 1997 NBA Draft. After three seasons in Toronto, the seven-time All-Star blossomed into one of the league's top scorers with the Orlando Magic. McGrady led the league in scoring with 32.1 points per game in 2002-03 and then won the crown again with a scoring average of 28.0 points per game the following year.
McGrady averaged 19.6 points over the course of his 16-year career. He’ll unfortunately best be remembered for never winning a championship, especially because he was never able to guide his team out of the first round -- playing his first games past that point as a bit player with the Spurs last season.
