The free agent market hit a lull Friday night following Greg Oden's signing with the Miami Heat, but some veterans and hopeful young players are still sorting out their plans for next season. We're talking almost exclusively about minimum-salary contracts at this point, with players fighting for roster spots rather than lucrative deals.
NBA free agency roundup: Jamison meets with Clips, Kings hire Williamson
With Greg Oden out of the way, the focus turns back to minor players looking for opportunities.

One of the players still searching for his next opportunity is free agent big man Antawn Jamison. The former All-Star will meet with Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers on Saturday night, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, a sign the two sides could be moving toward a deal.
For Jamison, sticking in L.A. after a relatively quiet season with the Lakers would be an ideal outcome. The 37-year-old gets an opportunity to finally win his first title, while his shooting ability would be a welcome fit for a Clippers team looking to space the floor around Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
Diawara, Dellavedova to work out for teams
According to Catch and Shoot, French wing Yakhouba Diawara will work out for the Miami Heat this month, while The Age reports former St. Mary's star Matthew Dellavedova will participate in the Cleveland Cavaliers' training camp this fall.
From 2006-10, Diawara spent time with the Nuggets and Heat, providing defensive-minded play with a long 6'7 frame. He struggled badly as an offensive player, however, shooting just 36 percent from the field while posting a 6.1 PER in 187 games.
Dellavedova, who starred for Australia during the 2012 Summer Olympics, may get an offer from Cleveland. It's unclear whether he'll earn a roster spot come October, but he could give the Cavs some depth at point guard behind Kyrie Irving and Jarrett Jack.
Gasol ‘would love’ to play for L.A. beyond 2013-14
The Los Angeles Lakers may want to move in a new direction after the 2013-14 season, but longtime franchise centerpiece Pau Gasol seems to have other ideas. While only under contract for one more season, Gasol wants to stick around:
I would love to play for the franchise that I love playing for, that I’m proud to be a part of. It would be great to continue to play for the Lakers.
Gasol will make $19.3 million from the Lakers before hitting free agency next summer, but he doesn’t seem excited to leave. Bringing back Gasol could be possible if he’s willing to take enough of a pay cut.
Kings hire Corliss Williamson as assistant
The Sacramento Kings brought back a familiar face this week, hiring former longtime player Corliss Williamson to join Mike Malone's coaching staff. He most recently spent the past three years as head coach at the University of Central Arkansas after retiring as a player in 2007.
A key player for the Kings during the late-90s, Williamson began and ended his career in Sacramento. A rugged scorer and NBA Finals champion with the 2004 Detroit Pistons, he finished his 12-year career averaging 11.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Williamson joins Dee Brown, Brendan Malone, Chris Jent and Micah Nori on the Kings' coaching staff.
