Veteran free-agent forward Antawn Jamison had dinner with Los Angeles Clippers head coach and senior vice president of player personnel Doc Rivers on Saturday night, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles. No contract offer was made at the meeting, but there are plans for future discussions.
NBA free agency rumors roundup: No Clippers offer yet for Antawn Jamison, Heat interested in Sebastian Telfair
Doc Rivers met with Antawn Jamison on Saturday night, but no contract offer has been made yet. Meanwhile, the Heat are looking at Sebastian Telfair as a possible third point guard behind Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole.

The Clippers have expressed interest in Jamison for quite some time, although this was the first meeting between the two parties. The 37-year-old played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, averaging 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 76 games. Jamison had surgery on his wrist following the season.
The Clippers could use another body in the frontcourt, and Jamison showed last season that he still has something in the tank. As a stretch 4, Jamison could help space the floor for Chris Paul. A more defensive-minded player may be a bigger need, but the pickings are slim on the big man market at this point.
The Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies have also reportedly shown interest in Jamison.
Heat interested in Telfair
The Miami Heat could use a third point guard to fill out the roster, and they have their eyes on Sebastian Telfair, the once highly touted prospect out of Brooklyn.
The Heat currently only have Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole in place at the point guard position. While a third point guard isn't totally necessary because LeBron James often ends up taking care of primary ballhandling duties, having a little more depth is always nice.
Telfair spent last season between the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors. The 28-year-old was traded to the Raptors in February for Hamed Haddadi and a second-round pick. Between the two teams, Telfair averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 assists.
Harrington, Stevenson clear waivers
Both Al Harrington and DeShawn Stevenson cleared waivers on Sunday, making them unrestricted free agents.
The Orlando Magic will have to pay Harrington about $7 million to go away, so the 33-year-old veteran will likely be more willing to take the veteran's minimum to play for a contender. If Harrington's able to get healthy following knee surgery, he could be a nice weapon off the bench.
Stevenson was waived by the Atlanta Hawks in order to make room for DeMarre Carroll. Stevenson has expressed interest in joining the Heat, but it's unclear whether that interest has been reciprocated.
Ivan Johnson looking overseas
Free-agent forward Ivan Johnson has not yet found a new NBA job, and he may be looking to take his talents overseas, according to Jorge Sierra of HoopsHype.
Johnson averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 69 games for the Atlanta Hawks last season. The 29-year-old didn’t receive a qualifying offer from Atlanta, making him an unrestricted free agent.
The New York Knicks have shown some interest in signing Johnson.
