NBA free agency: Beno Udrih reportedly remains Knicks’ ‘top priority’

The Knicks’ top target in free agency is still point guard Beno Udrih, but the team is bringing in Bobby Brown for a workout on Wednesday.

Free-agent point guard Beno Udrih remains the New York Knicks' top priority, according to ESPN New York's Ian Begley.

The Knicks are currently in the process of filling out their roster, and they just inked big man Jeremy Tyler to a two-year deal on Tuesday. New York would like to add another point guard to go along with Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni, and Udrih is the preferred choice. However, the Knicks only have the veteran's minimum to offer, and it's believed that Udrih is holding out for more money.

Begley reports that the Knicks won't sign another point guard until they get a firm decision from Udrih, but the team is bringing in former EuroLeague standout Bobby Brown for a workout on Wednesday. Brown has signed a deal to play in China next season, but the contract does have an out clause which would allow the guard to sign with an NBA team before Aug. 15.

If Udrih hasn't made a decision before that deadline, the Knicks may just decide to move on and bring in Brown. Udrih does have other suitors, with the Memphis Grizzlies showing interest among others.
