Each year, the NBA sends its first-year players to the Rookie Transition Program, a four-day event guiding young athletes as they enter the professional world. We don't know how long he was there, but it appears Minnesota Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad didn't learn much in his brief time at the event.

It looks like Shabazz Muhammad had a little too much extra-curricular fun at this year’s Rookie Transition Program.

Muhammad was sent home from the program by league officials Wednesday for “violation of a rule and bringing a female guest into his hotel room,” Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today reports.
The event, which includes speakers, seminars and instructions designed to help rookies transition to the rigors of professional life, began Tuesday. Players were given their rules for the program just hours prior to Muhammad’s dismissal. One of those rules states “no guests unless approved by program administrators.”
Once considered arguably the top prospect in the nation, this is just the latest setback for Muhammad. Arriving at UCLA with much fanfare, Shabazz never fit well in Ben Howland’s system and saw his NBA stock plummet with the revelation he had been lying about his age. After falling to Minnesota with the 14th pick in the draft, he’s already dealing with issues before even getting on the court.
Muhammad's dismissal recalls the incident involving Mario Chalmers, Michael Beasley and Darrell Arthur at the program in 2008. All three players were punished after being caught with marijuana and women in their hotel room.
