Charlotte Bobcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who has been out of the lineup since early December with a broken left hand, will start on Tuesday against the New York Knicks, via Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer:
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to return from hand injury Tuesday against Knicks
Charlotte will welcome MKG back to the lineup as it tries to turn things around.

“My hand is doing well. I’m just ready to play. It’s been a month, so I can’t wait until (Tuesday) against the Knicks,” Kidd-Gilchrist said at practice Monday. “I’m out of rhythm a little bit, but that’s usual. I want to be on the court and win some games.”
Kidd-Gilchrist used the six weeks of down time as productively as possible. He worked on his shooting, and Clifford said he did a particularly good job of trying to maintain conditioning.
The second-year player suffered the injury against the Dallas Mavericks on Dec. 3. He's participated in three practices with the team and has been fitted for a protective glove. Kidd-Gilchrist is Charlotte's best defensive player and he'll be expected to help revive a defense that has slipped a bit in recent weeks. The Bobcats have lost eight out of their last nine games.
Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 18 games this season, shooting 50 percent from the field.
