Tyson Chandler will start Tuesday night when the New York Knicks take on the Charlotte Bobcats, the team announced. Coach Mike Woodson said he plans to play the big man 25-30 minutes.

After missing four straight games with an upper respiratory infection, Tyson Chandler will start against the Bobcats on Tuesday night.

Chandler has missed the last four games with an upper respiratory infection. He last appeared on Jan. 5, when he played four minutes against the Dallas Mavericks.
Chandler has appeared in just 13 games this season, and is averaging 7.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Both figures are his lowest since he played with Charlotte during 2009-10 season.
The Knicks are on a bit of an upswing, winning their last five games and six of their last seven. They are just 15-22, but the team has climbed its way back to the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
In continuing their push for the playoffs, the Knicks will need Chandler, who anchors the team’s defense as the primary interior defender.
