The Brooklyn Nets had a bloody good time in London on Thursday, earning a 127-110 blowout win over the Atlanta Hawks. Ex-Hawk Joe Johnson led the way for Brooklyn, scoring 29 points on 11-for-15 shooting, including 6-for-8 on 3-point attempts. Johnson scored 26 of his points in the first half, his only other basket coming on a buzzer-beating three at the end of the third quarter.

The Nets shot a ridiculous 53-for-91 at O2 Arena on Thursday, putting the game out of reach in the third quarter.

The Nets’ offense was excellent from the outset and they built a 65-53 lead by halftime. They extended that lead to 99-74 by the end of the third quarter, and the fourth was strictly garbage time.
Brooklyn is now 6-1 in the new year, while Atlanta has lost five of seven games in the same span. The Nets shot 58 percent from the field and had 38 assists on their 53 field goals. Andray Blatche had a monster line of 20 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes off the bench, shooting 10-for-18 from the field.
Mike Scott and Shelvin Mack each shot 6-for-9 for 17 points apiece off the bench for the Hawks, and Jeff Teague managed 16 points. Atlanta shot 8-for-25 on threes, with Kyle Korver missing seven of his eight attempts from downtown.
