Kevin Durant scored a career-high 54 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder ran past the Golden State Warriors, 127-121. Durant was unreal, pouring in one of the most efficient, high-volume scoring performances in recent memory.

His 54 points came on 19-of-28 shooting from the floor and from a variety of different shots: drives to the rim, pull up jumpers from mid-range, spot up jumpers and shots from around off-the-ball screens.
Not to be outdone, Warriors guard Stephen Curry scored 37 points of his own, but it almost came quietly as all eyes were on Durant. Klay Thompson dropped in 26 points for the Warriors, shooting 6-of-10 from long range.
Curry, Thompson and Durant all started hot in the first half. Curry and Thompson combined for 43 points on 9-of-13 shooting from behind the arc and Durant finished the first 24 minutes with 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting.
In all, the Thunder scored 71 points in the first half on 28-of-44 (63.6 percent) shooting. The Warriors weren’t far behind, netting 65 points on 22 shots.
That scoring didn’t stop in the third quarter. Durant continued on his quest to score a million points, finishing the period with 10 points, bumping his total to 39 and giving the Thunder a 10-point (101-91) lead.
The fourth quarter was the final act of the Kevin Durant Show. He scored 15 points in the final 12 minutes, with 13 of those points coming in a row near the end of the game. The final score is a little misleading; the Warriors never really had a chance down the stretch.
