New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson told reporters that forward Carmelo Anthony will suit up Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs after sitting out three games because of an ankle injury, according to the San Antonio Express-News' Jabari Young.
Carmelo Anthony injury: Knicks star will return from ankle issue against Spurs
Carmelo Anthony missed three games with a severely sprained ankle but went through shootaround Thursday as the Knicks visit San Antonio.

Anthony injured his ankle on Dec. 23 in a game against the Orlando Magic, and New York has lost the three games thereafter by at least 12 points each -- the Knicks lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder and twice to the Toronto Raptors.
After Anthony returned to practice on Monday, he was listed as probably heading into the game against San Antonio.
With guard Pablo Prigioni and forward Metta World Peace out, and guard Raymond Felton listed as doubtful due to a groin injury, the Knicks need Anthony and his 26.3 points per game dearly. Before he was injured in the win against the Magic, New York had seemingly found a little more success by splitting the previous six games.
Then again, the Spurs have historically had success against Anthony. According to Basketball-Reference, San Antonio has held Anthony to 20.1 points per game in his career, the lowest scoring average the forward has against any team.
