As if the 103-80 blowout loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Martin Luther King Day wasn't bad enough on its own, New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler blamed the defeat on a poor game plan after Monday afternoon's game, via the New York Post:

Tyson Chandler was not happy with how the Knicks approached the Nets on Monday, strategically speaking.

“They out-schemed us,” Chandler said.

Chandler said [Nets head coach Jason] Kidd and [Joe] Johnson, who also played for Woodson, had a good idea on how to exploit the Knicks’ defense.
“They played to our defense as far as their offensive scheme, knowing our rotations, putting us in vulnerable situations,” Chandler said. “[They had us] switching a lot and taking our help guy out of the rotation, which led to a lot of corner 3s.”
Chandler added that he does not like to switch on defense, a direct criticism of Knicks head coach Mike Woodson’s defensive strategy.
Both Woodson and Kidd received plenty of criticism earlier on in the season, but Kidd’s Nets have turned it around lately, going 7-1 in the new year. The Knicks put together a five-game winning streak earlier in the month, but have lost their last four, each one by double digits. The loss to Brooklyn was particularly embarrassing, with New York fans booing their own team and even chanting “Fire Woodson” late in the game. There were several “Brooooklyn” chants at Madison Square Garden on Monday, as well.
The Knicks are 15-26 and have lacked cohesion almost all season, so criticism of the coaching staff is fair. It’s just not supposed to come from inside their own locker room.
