New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson was taken off the floor Friday night on a stretcher after he collided with Boston Celtics forward Gerald Wallace in the fourth quarter.

Ryan Anderson was bumped from behind by Gerald Wallace and left the game on a stretcher.


The Pelicans announced Anderson was taken to a local hospital and is being evaluated for a cervical stinger, per NBA.com’s David Aldridge.
The Pelicans were inbounding the ball from under their own basket when Wallace knocked into Anderson from behind. Anderson fell to the floor and remained there for a few minutes before being taken off the court on a stretcher to be examined.

On the season, the sharpshooting forward is averaging 20.1 points and 6.4 rebounds on 41 percent shooting from three-point range.
