On Saturday night, in one of the wildest games of the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder outlasted the Minnesota Timberwolves, 115-111.

Kevin Durant was doing Kevin Durant things, except in greater quantities. He had 48 points on 16-for-32 shooting, the most anyone has scored in the NBA this season.

Nevertheless, thanks to some crafty play-calling by Rick Adelman, the Wolves ended up with as good a shot as they could have wanted -- an open Kevin Love 3.
Plays like that are where you can see the championship experience Kendrick Perkins provides. Suffice to say, Perk was shocked, just shocked that his obvious foul was called.
That’s where things got really weird.
Love, an 83% free-throw shooter, walked to the line and missed his first and his second shots. He purposefully missed the third, but he missed incorrectly, throwing the ball off the backboard. Since it didn’t hit the rim, it was an automatic turnover.
That foul might be the best summation of Perkins’ time in Oklahoma City - stumbling backwards into success despite doing everything in his power to mess things up. If this Thunder season was on The Mole, people would have been pointing the finger at Perk in the first episode.
