Kurt Thomas’ agent does not believe the Knicks are legit championship contenders

I wonder why.

USA TODAY Sports

Kurt Thomas is 41 years old and is out of the NBA. But he hasn't officially retired, and in fact he might come back this season. There's a catch, via the New York Post.

"If the right call comes, he'd come back," [his agent Jerry] Hicks told The Post. "He'd only play for a club that has a legitimate chance at winning a championship. Not the Knicks, I can tell you that."

Oh.

The Knicks are currently 10-22 and in last place in the Atlantic Division. They play in Dallas -- Thomas’ current home -- on Sunday.
