The Cavaliers made news by trading Andrew Bynum for Luol Deng in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, but it was C.J. Miles who completely stole the headlines with his three-point shooting later in the evening. The 26-year-old swingman drained a career-high 10 threes on his way to 34 points as the Cavs routed the visiting 76ers in Cleveland.
C.J. Miles drains 10 threes in rout of 76ers
The Cavs swingman comes within two three-pointers of matching an NBA record.

Miles was unconscious in the 111-93 dismantling of Philadelphia, which is a result the Cavs haven't grown accustomed to this season. He's averaging just 9.3 points per game this season on just 41.1 percent shooting, including 35.6 percent from deep, so this explosion is pretty much out of the blue. Though he did drop 40 points one night in 2011 as a member of the Utah Jazz.
The NBA record for most threes in a game is 12, a mark shared by Donyell Marshall and Kobe Bryant. Joe Johnson had a game in which he hit 10 threes earlier this year as well. So close, C.J.! The Cavs sure hope this can be the start of something good.
