Nikola Vucevic agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract extension with the Orlando Magic, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Vucevic, who turns 24 years old later this week, averaged 14.2 points and 11 rebounds per game last season for Orlando.
Magic, Nikola Vucevic agree on 4-year, $54 million extension
The No. 16 pick in the 2012 draft is getting paid.

Vucevic was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers as part of a four-team trade that sent Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers in Aug. 2012. Vucevic became Howard's de-facto replacement with the Magic, and has turned into a reliable inside scorer. He's shot better than 50 percent from the field and averaged a double-double in each of his two seasons in Orlando.
Vucevic was the No. 16 pick in the 2012 draft after a breakout year at USC. Magic forward Tobias Harris is another member of the 2012 draft, and he's also up for an extension this offseason. The Magic have reportedly turned their attention to locking up Harris, but the sides are not yet close to an agreement, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
