NBA schedule: Chris Bosh faces old team, Warriors battle Blazers in Portland

Our feature game on Sunday features Chris Bosh in his old role against his old team, in Miami.

Mitchell Leff

Sunday's NBA schedule brings us four games, including a pair of intriguing battles in each conference between playoff teams. Chris Bosh is the man again with the Heat, his old role in Toronto. Bosh faces the Raptors in Sunday's feature game. The schedule begins with a red-hot Blake Griffin in a matinee in Los Angeles, and the night ends with the Splash Brothers taking in Rip City.

Appetizer

Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers, 3:30 p.m.

The Clippers have played two sloppy games but are 2-0 thanks in large part to Blake Griffin averaging 31 points per game. The career 64-percent free throw shooter has made 18 of 22 (81.8 percent) from the charity stripe in the first two games this year. The Clips hope to avoid the matinee upset and will have to stop Rudy Gay, who scorched Portland with 40 points on 19 shots on Friday in Sacramento.

Main Course

Toronto Raptors at Miami Heat, 6 p.m. ET

No LeBron, no problem so far for the Heat, winners of two straight games to open the season. Chris Bosh is shooting 51.4 percent while averaging 28 points per game so far, buoyed by 5-of-9 shooting from three-point range. The Raptors are also 2-0 thanks to DeMar DeRozan averaging 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds and Toronto only turning the ball over 19 times in two games, best in the NBA.

Dessert

Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers, 9 p.m. ET

Newly extended Klay Thompson poured in a career-high 41 points on Saturday night, as he and Stephen Curry combined to destroy the Lakers with 72 points on just 37 shots. Golden State looks to move into the top tier in the Western Conference, with home court advantage in the first round, a spot occupied by the Blazers last season. Portland is off to a 1-1 start in 2014-15 with LaMarcus Aldridge pouring in 24.5 points a game.
