NBA schedule: Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol face off in Memphis

Two of the league’s best big men go head to head on Monday night.

Nelson Chenault-USA TODAY Sports

Monday doesn’t bring a loaded slate of games, but there are still some worth your time. Here are the games that you should be watching and when and how to watch them.

The appetizer

Nets vs. Thunder, 7:30 p.m. ET

No, there won't be any appearances from Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook, but in a way that's kind of made the Thunder even more intriguing. Or, at least a different kind of interesting. Take Perry Jones III, for example, who has scored 55 points in his last two games after amassing a total of 216 points last season. It's always fun to see young guys grow into their own and that might be what's happening here with Jones.

The main course

Grizzlies vs. Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET

This should be fun. Marc Gasol might be the best center in the NBA, while Anthony Davis might be the league's best power forward. There's a good chance the two of them spend a major portion of this game matched up against each other (while the larger Omer Asik and Zach Randolph bang bodies down low) The Grizzlies are one of four undefeated teams left in the NBA, and a win over the up and coming Pelicans would be nice notch to add to the belt.

The dessert

Clippers vs. Jazz, 10:30 p.m. ET

Again, it's a weak slate Monday, which means it's a perfect night to spend time watching some of the league's younger prospects. Dante Exum is only averaging 15.7 minutes per game so far this year, but this is a good opportunity to see the No. 5 pick in action against one of the NBA's better teams.

The leftovers

All times ET

Rockets vs. 76ers, 7 p.m. ET (League Pass)

Celtics vs. Mavericks, 8:30 p.m. ET (League Pass)

Kings vs. Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET (League Pass)
