Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari is out indefinitely with a meniscus tear in his right knee, according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.
Danilo Gallinari out indefinitely with right knee meniscus tear
The Denver Nuggets forward will have surgery to repair the injured knee, is out indefinitely.

Dempsey reported that Gallinari is expected to have surgery in the next two to three days. He will miss three weeks. It would be a quick return from knee surgery for a player who has already had surgery on his left knee.
Gallinari suffered from injuries in 2012-13 and 2013-14. He tore the ACL in his left knee in April of 2013 and missed all of the 2013-14 season after reconstructive knee surgery in January of 2014. He is averaging just 18.8 minutes per game this season and scoring 7.8 points and grabbing three rebounds per game.
His stats are down from his career averages of 14 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He played 71 games in 2013 before the injury, averaging 16.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. It was a career year. Gallinari appeared destined to be an important piece of the Nuggets moving forward. Instead, injuries have derailed his career.
The Nuggets have struggled this season, even before the Gallinari injury. They’re just 12-15 and have suffered losing streaks of six, four and three games.
