Good morning. The Greek Freak is a walking highlight reel.

That and much more in Monday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

KOBE’S EPIC CONFRONTATIONS: Paul Flannery talks to Kobe Bryant about his greatest rivalries and the future. Plus the Sunday Shootaround looks at five potential first-time All-Stars, the best quotes of the week and a video that perfectly encapsulates the Knicks-Nets rivalry. Check it out!

RUSSELL! Everyone’s favorite on-court menace, Russell Westbrook, does a very Russell Westbrook thing in transition.

GIANNIS! On Sunday, the Greek Freak showed his incredible length on a dunk. On Friday he’d had another one of those plays that lots of sticks-in-the-mud will argue is a travel even those it’s probably not.

THE QUIET LOUDNESS: Derrick Rose wore an “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirt during warm-ups to honor Eric Garner and the ongoing protests in response to multiple civilian deaths at the hands of police officers. LeBron said he wants one of the shirts, too. Also, I liked Eddie Maisonet’s thoughts on the subject.

SPEAKING OF LEBRON ... He did something real odd on his day off -- he sat courtside for Blazers vs. Knicks in Madison Square Garden.

MUDIAY AND THE AGE LIMIT: I wrote about the age limit and the case of Emmanuel Mudiay, who might be cut from his Chinese team and sit out the season due to an ankle injury.

BLOCK OF THE SEASON: Jose Calderon thought he had a wide open pull-up three in transition. But Kemba Walker appeared out of nowhere to destroy it.

GO READ IT: Anthony Davis gets the Lee Jenkins treatment.

BAD NEWS: No Dwight Howard for a while yet, and DeMarcus Cousins has viral meningitis and is unlikely to play this week.

DRAY DAY: Draymond Green is a huge piece of the Warriors’ success.

WELL THAT’S HELPFUL: Joe Lacob got really candid about why he fired Mark Jackson at a private event for venture capitalists last week. Among the stated reasons: he refused to hire the best assistants and no one in the organization liked him. Yikes!

OH MAN: The ad for Coleco’s tabletop basketball game starring Wilt Chamberlain is pure gold. Thank you, Curtis Harris.

Happy Monday. See you next time.
