The New York Knicks will consider all point guard options now that the Toronto Raptors have pulled Kyle Lowry off the trading block, and the biggest name on their list heading into the Thursday trade deadline is Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.

There are many complicating issues that should put a damper on this trade being realistic. By rule, the point guard can refuse a trade in the first year of a new contract. Teague would have to consent to any trade because the Hawks matched his offer sheet signed with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason.
And like it is when rumors swirled about the Knicks' interest in Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, and like it is when discussing the possibility of Lowry, it's a question of what New York could offer in exchange for any above-average point guard.
New York has traded away all of its first-round draft picks in the next three years. Iman Shumpert is a player that the Knicks are probably willing to trade and one teams would consider taking on, but he alone is not enough for Teague, who is averaging 15.6 points and 7.2 assists this year.

With Teague, the Knicks would be further adding to their future cap figures considering the point guard will have three years left of the four year, $32 million contract he signed this offseason.
Any way it’s sliced, Teague is an obvious upgrade over current point guard Raymond Felton, but New York will have a tough time squeezing out a trade proposal that entices the Hawks.
