Odom’s last few years have been filled with turmoil since a trade that sent the versatile forward from the Lakers to the Mavericks following the 2011 season. Most recently, basketball has been a secondary concern for Odom. There have been reports of Odom dealing with a severe drug problem that included a lengthy stint in rehab. Odom was also arrested on a DUI charge in August.

The Clippers showed interest in the now 34-year-old earlier in the season, but the two sides never came to an agreement. Odom played for the Clippers a year ago, appearing in all 82 games and averaging four points across 19.7 minutes per night.
