J.J. Redick injury: Clippers guard out 3-5 weeks
The Clippers got some tough news before their season’s stretch run got started.

The sharpshooter most recently suffered a hip injury that’s kept him out of action for the past four games and is dealing with lingering ailments to his back and shoulder. Despite the most recent injury being a hip ailment, the greatest concern is his back. The Clippers are being cautious with him in order to ensure he’s fully healthy for the playoffs.
Head coach Doc Rivers announced Monday that Redick wouldn't suit up for the game against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday and also ruled him out for the game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday before the latest news broke on his extended absence.
With the trade deadline looming on Thursday, the development adds to Los Angeles’ urgency to add another player to replace him as it prepares for a potential postseason run.
In 30 games this season, Redick has posted averages of 15.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
