Jordan Hill remains at the forefront of NBA trade talks on Thursday morning with as many as seven teams pursuing the services of the Los Angeles Lakers big man. The Brooklyn Nets -- armed with a $5.25 million Disabled Players Exception thanks to Brook Lopez -- continue to lead the charge, while the New Orleans Pelicans have emerged as another serious suitor, Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles reported last night.

The Charlotte Bobcats, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns are also said to be in the running for Hill, and the Lakers are asking for at least a second-round pick as part of any potential deal, Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting.
Phoenix was very much in the discussion Wednesday, shifting from one L.A. big man (Pau Gasol) to another, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported. The Suns have more in terms of assets than most teams in the Hill discussions, but as of Thursday morning it appears the Nets and Pelicans -- who are both trying to win now and both need frontcourt help -- are the frontrunners by most accounts close to the situation.
