Update: The Nuggets have dealt Jordan Hamilton instead to the Houston Rockets and in exchange receive point guard Aaron Brooks, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
NBA trade rumors: Knicks and Nuggets talking swap of Beno Udrih, Jordan Hamilton
After the Nuggets moved point guard Andre Miller, they have progressed in moving swingman Jordan Hamilton to New York to add point guard help.

Denver Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly and the front office are progressing in talks that will ship swingman Jordan Hamilton to New York in exchange for Knicks point guard Beno Udrih, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. At the same time, the Nuggets have other offers for Hamilton they are exploring, reports Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

The proposed trade was on the backburner as the Nuggets focused on dealing disgruntled point guard Andre Miller to the Washington Wizards. Now that the three-team Miller trade that will bring Jan Vesely to Denver is agreed upon, the focus is back on filling in an empty depth chart at point guard.
The Nuggets have faced tough odds with starting point guard Ty Lawson dealing with a broken rib. Backup point guard Nate Robinson is out for the season with a torn ACL, and Miller has been away from the team since the beginning of January because of disagreements with first-year coach Brian Shaw. Denver's sudden lack of point guard depth has led to shooting guard Randy Foye manning the lead guard spot.
Udrih requested a trade in late January, according to ESPN New York. The 31-year-old point guard is averaging 5.6 points and 3.5 assists per game this season. He is on an expiring contract.
The 23-year-old Hamilton is averaging 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and is in the final year of his rookie deal.
