Clippers vs. Thunder final score: Los Angeles drops OKC, 125-117

The Los Angeles Clippers earned an impressive road win behind a red-hot offense.

The Los Angeles Clippers walked into Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in an old-fashioned shoot-out, 125-117. It's just the fifth home loss of the season for OKC in 23 contests.

The win for the Clippers came behind a well-rounded effort. All five starters scored at least 18 points, and Jamal Crawford led the way with 36.

Durant poured in 42 points and 10 assists for the Thunder, hitting a go-ahead three-pointer with less than two minutes to play to give Oklahoma City a 115-112 lead. The Clippers would respond from there by scoring the next seven points, capped by a Crawford three from the left wing that gave Los Angeles a four-point lead with 1:30 left in the game.

Russell Westbrook’s second game back from a knee injury was as rusty as the first. He scored 13 points to go with six assists but shot 3-for-13 from the floor, his final miss coming with 35 seconds left and the Thunder trailing by four points.

Los Angeles, which will keep pace or gain on the current third-seed Houston Rockets with the win, got hot early on and took a 12-2 lead just three minutes into the game. The Clippers finished the game shooting 51.9 percent, including 43 percent from beyond the arc, while getting to the foul stripe 39 times.
