Big man Mike Muscala is on his way to Atlanta to sign with the Hawks, according to his agent, Misko Raznatovic, via Sportando.
Mike Muscala to join Hawks
The rookie should help Atlanta’s ailing frontcourt.

Atlanta acquired Muscala at last June's draft, when he was selected No. 44 by the Dallas Mavericks and sent to the Hawks with No. 16 pick Lucas Nogueira and guard Jared Cunningham in exchange for No. 18 pick Shane Larkin. Muscala has spent the season playing for Rio Natura Monbus in the Spanish ACB.
Rumors started circulating on Tuesday that Muscala might be making his way stateside, and he was spotted beginning his journey on Wednesday.
Muscala should help the banged up Hawks in the frontcourt, as they are without Al Horford, Pero Antic and Gustavo Ayon at the moment. In 20 games in Spain, Muscala averaged 14.6 points and 7.8 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game. He averaged 18.7 points and 11.1 rebounds as a senior at Bucknell last season.
