Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is happy about the changes that new NBA commissioner Adam Silver has made with regards to officiating, according to Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press:

Adam Silver’s already impressed Mavericks owner Mark Cuban with how he’s handling NBA officiating.

“I think he’s taken some great steps on the officiating. There’s been more changes in 15 days or whatever it is than I saw in 14 years. So I like what he’s doing there,” Cuban said Monday.
Cuban was a longtime critic of how former commissioner David Stern handled officiating, and he has consistently called for more transparency. According to Cuban, progress has already been made in that regard, via the AP:
Cuban said the league is sending teams more examples of plays that were called incorrectly and other data to help them understand how the games will be officiated.
“Those are things that never would have happened” under Stern, Cuban said.
In Sunday's nationally televised game between the Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns, center Dwight Howard was not called for a lane violation late in the game when he went into the paint early on a Donatas Motiejunas free throw. The commentators immediately called attention to this. Cuban said that he expected that, under Silver's new policies, the league would privately let teams know how that sort of play would be handled going forward.
Perhaps Cuban won’t be fined as often under this new regime.
