The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a contract with free agent forward Danny Granger, per Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles. He'll hope to crack the team's wing rotation before the postseason and boost one of the West's top contenders.
Danny Granger to sign with Los Angeles Clippers, per reports
The Clippers just added another weapon for their postseason run.

The longest-tenured Pacer before being traded, Granger hit the open market recently after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers, who acquired him at the trade deadline in a deal with the Indiana Pacers.

His new role with the Clippers is unclear, but he should get numerous opportunities to crack a small forward rotation that primarily consists of Matt Barnes and Jared Dudley. Dudley has been unable to deliver the boost expected of him after an offseason trade with the Suns, leaving some room for Granger to fill that role.
Health has been an issue for Granger over the past two years, though, and it’s affected his performance on the court. He’s appeared in just 29 games this season, one year after playing in just five. He’s also averaging just 8.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season, far below the numbers he once put up as Indiana’s marquee player.
Still, many teams could’ve used a player like Granger, and the Clippers are likely thrilled to have him. Come postseason time, his scoring punch could come in pretty handy.
