The Philadelphia 76ers are attempting to move guard Evan Turner but it won’t come easily.

Philadelphia wants a draft pick in exchange for Turner, but that appears too risky of a giveaway for any team. There’s no reason for another team to give up a pick if they believe they can sign Turner away from Philadelphia this offseason.

If the 76ers pick up Turner’s $8.7 million qualifying offer for next season, he’ll still be a restricted free agent, and it’s even possible they don’t pull the trigger on the offer while looking to go in a completely new direction. That would make the fourth-year guard an unrestricted free agent.
Turner, who is averaging 18.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, told Deveney that he's not surprised about the trade rumors. The writing was on the wall this offseason, when the Sixers traded All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans
Philadelphia is also shopping forward Thaddeus Young and center Spencer Hawes, Deveney reports.
