Los Angeles Lakers big man Jordan Hill and shooting guard Jodie Meeks each sustained injuries on Tuesday night while facing the Minnesota Timberwolves and will not return, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.
Lakers lose Jordan Hill and Jodie Meeks to injury
The Lakers are running out of healthy bodies again; they lost two more key players in the span of one half of action on Tuesday.

Meeks came down awkwardly on Corey Brewer's foot in the first quarter and sustained a sprained ankle that will keep him out, while Jordan Hill is out after he took an inadvertent strike from fellow teammate Chris Kaman and sustained a cervical strain.
The timing of the injuries comes with a bit of irony as veteran guards Steve Nash and Steve Blake returned to action after lengthy periods out prior to Tuesday. Kobe Bryant continues to sit out with an injury to his kneecap, and Pau Gasol will be out at least two weeks with a groin injury.
The Lakers won't have any opportunity to rest as they travel to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second leg of a three-game road trip.
