San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker was removed from Wednesday night's game against the Washington Wizards midway through the second quarter with back tightness. He will not play against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night, coach Gregg Popovich told reporters after the game.

Parker had registered four points and five assists against the Wizards in 19 minutes before being sidelined.
The Spurs went on to beat the Wizards, 125-118, in double overtime thanks to a season-high 31 points by Tim Duncan. The Spurs veteran big man also registered 40 minutes, making his status for Thursday night in Brooklyn a bit of an unknown. Popovich is usually judicious with his veterans’ minutes, especially on back-to-backs.
San Antonio is already without Kawhi Leonard (finger) and Manu Ginobili (hamstring), and was just recently joined by Tiago Splitter and Danny Green -- each have been limited recently with injuries.
