Kyle Lowry sent the game into overtime with a beautiful layup off dribble penetration with 8.1 seconds remaining. Paul Millsap was unable to answer with a midrange jumper at the right elbow that missed left.

Toronto outshot the Hawks by netting 49 percent of its field goals, while Atlanta shot 43 percent. Both teams struggled from beyond the arc as Atlanta shot 32 percent against 29 percent from the Raptors.

DeMar DeRozan finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead Toronto, which saw all five starters score in double figures and six total players match or surpass the 10-point mark.

Every game down the stretch is critical for Atlanta, who’s entrenched as the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, as the playoffs inch closer. They showed discipline in taking care of the basketball in the win, committing just nine turnovers in 60 minutes of play while Toronto finished with 15.

The Raptors have lost 10 of their last 12 games in Atlanta.
