NBA scores 2014: Spurs and Clippers roll on, 76ers finally end losing streak

The Spurs kept their streak going, while the 76ers did not.

Marco Belinelli scored 18 points to lead the Spurs to yet another victory, a 96-80 win over the Pelicans on Saturday night in San Antonio. The 17th straight win for the Spurs (57-16) gave them a three-game lead over the Thunder in the conference standings with just nine games remaining.

Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili each had 15 points and five rebounds for the Spurs, who built a comfortable 28-15 lead after one quarter and cruised from there. Tim Duncan played just 25 minutes but had 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four blocks in the win.

Clippers 118, Rockets 107

In a battle of playoff seeding, the Clippers picked up an important road win over the Rockets even though Blake Griffin was limited to six minutes with lower back spasms. DeAndre Jordan picked up the slack without Griffin with 12 rebounds and six blocks to go with his 20 points, and Chris Paul hit five three-pointers en route to 30 points and 12 assists.

James Harden scored 32 points and Chandler Parsons had 28 for Houston, playing without center Dwight Howard while he rests a sore ankle.

76ers 123, Pistons 98

After an NBA record-tying 26 straight losses the 76ers had enough, and took it out on the Pistons. Philadelphia led by 10 points after the first quarter and never looked back. Quite a few things happened in the 59 days since the 76ers last won a game.

Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams each scored 21 points to lead the 76ers, who shot 52 percent from the field and 57 percent from distance. Greg Monroe had 20 points and 10 boards for Detroit in defeat.

Wizards 101, Hawks 97

John Wall had 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Wizards to a home win over the Hawks and one step closer to clinching their first playoff berth in five seasons. Washington (38-35) leads the ninth-seeded Knicks (30-43) by eight games with nine games left.

Jeff Teague led Atlanta with 19 points, while Pero Antic added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Mavericks 103, Kings 100

Dirk Nowitzki scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Mavericks to a home win over the Kings in Dallas. The Mavs (44-30) shot 49 percent and had 28 assists for their 34 made field goals, and are now in a virtual tie with Memphis (43-29) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Rudy Gay led Sacramento with 30 points and Reggie Evans had 18 rebounds and two steals in defeat.

Heat 88, Bucks 67

Chris Bosh led a balanced scoring attack to lead the Heat to a comfortable win over the Bucks in Milwaukee. Miami held the Bucks to just 67 points and 34 percent shooting. LeBron James was one of three Miami players to score 13 points, including this gimmie:
