Damian Lillard is on his way to the playoffs with some extra cash in his pocket. Lillard is finalizing a deal with Adidas that will give him the third-largest shoe deal in the NBA, according to a report from USA Today's Sam Amick.

The contract for Portland's All-Star guard will be just under the deal given to Adidas teammate Derrick Rose ($185 million / 13 years reported) and Nike's LeBron James ($20 million per-year reported). Lillard has been featured prominently this season for the brand, getting his own player edition of the Crazy 8 and the Crazy 1.

Hopes are high for the young guard, who was also rumored to be fielding offers from Nike and the Jordan brand. It’s been a banner year for the Oakland, Calif. native. After winning ROY last season, he’s helped the Blazers to the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference on averages of 20.8 points, 5.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 39 percent from the three-point line.

It’s unknown if Lillard is set to get his own signature shoe at this juncture, but it would be a wise bet to think he would not sign such a significant contract without also receiving his own signature shoe. Adidas has been suffering ever since Rose went down for the second straight year due to injury, and the longevity and marketability of Lillard will be a factor for him from here on out.

The Trail Blazers will square off against the Houston Rockets in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs come April 19.
