Charlotte just couldn't hold on in Game 1. Despite a strong start from the Heat, the Bobcats battled back within seven at the half on Sunday, and actually held the lead for part of the third quarter. Then, LeBron James took over.

Miami took control in the fourth quarter on Sunday, and will try to take a 2-0 lead on Wednesday night.

The reigning two-time MVP hit a three-pointer as time expired in the third period, and that was it for Charlotte. The Heat turned up the defensive pressure, and moved the ball well on the offensive end of the floor. Miami went 4-of-5 from three in the fourth quarter on their way to a dominating 99-88 win.
Kemba Walker looked ready for the playoffs early, scoring 20 points and grabbing six boards to go along with five assists. Gary Neal surprised off the bench for Charlotte, scoring 17 points.
Miami looked like they wanted to get this series over with early on Sunday. Charlotte, who battled valiantly for a spot in the East, hopes they can extend the series and steal a game in Florida on Wednesday night. That will be tough to do, especially with Al Jefferson hindered by his plantar fasciitis.
