Rockets vs. Trail Blazers, NBA playoffs 2014: Game time, TV schedule, radio and more

Portland looks to go up 3-0 in the series at its first home playoff game of the postseason.

Houston is on the ropes after losing Game 2 at home to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. The star-studded Rockets dropped both of the series' opening games in Houston, and they travel to the Pacific Northwest in a big hole.

Portland made a statement in the third quarter as it took the lead over Houston. LaMarcus Aldridge was nearly unstoppable, pouring in 43 points in his second straight 40-point game.

For Houston, it's been the three-point line that has cut down the Blazers' offensive attack. The Rockets are a combined 11-of-51 on three-pointers as the Blazers have locked down and given up the advantage on points in the paint in the series so far. James Harden has struggled in particular, shooting just 29.8 percent from the field in the series.

Portland is a tough place to play come playoff time, especially down 2-0 in a series. The Rockets and the Blazers tied the season series in Rip City, 1-1. Fans are champing at the bit for a second-round matchup in Portland, and Houston will need to find a way to get James Harden going -- and at least slow LaMarcus Aldridge -- if it doesn’t want to end up down 3-0 on the road.

Game time: 10:30 p.m. ET

Location: Moda Center, Portland

TV: ESPN

Announcers: Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy, Lisa Salters

Local: KGW, CSN Houston
