Sunday brought about a fresh batch of Kevin Love trade rumors, which will likely continue throughout the summer and well into next season. The Timberwolves’ forward, frustrated by his team losing throughout his six-year tenure, reportedly wants out. He can opt out and become a free agent after next season, so Minnesota is slowly resigning itself to the need to deal him now and at least get some value back in return for his departure.

This will likely drag on for a long time. As Tom Ziller noted in February, the Timberwolves should be reluctant to trade their best player in years. They won’t just give him away. And thus, we should prepare ourselves for hundreds of updates on every little element of this saga.
