The Oklahoma City Thunder got a taste of what it's like to be on the other end of the playoff machine that is San Antonio as the Spurs took home a win in Game 1, 122-105, Monday night.

San Antonio came out on a roll. Oklahoma City had a tough time keeping the Spurs out of the paint with big man Serge Ibaka out with a calf injury, and the home team opened up a 15-point lead.

Kawhi Leonard is pretty good at this basketball thing.

The Thunder roared out of the gate to start the second half, though, with Russell Westbrook taking issue with his team's poor performance. Oklahoma City threatened the Spurs briefly, taking the lead with 4:43 left in the third quarter. But Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard would have none of it, and the two took over the fourth quarter.

Without Ibaka, the Thunder suffered greatly. San Antonio won the rebounding battle, 40-37, and scored 66 points in the paint compared to Oklahoma City's 32. Without their star post, the Thunder were outmatched by the likes of Tiago Splitter, Boris Diaw, Tim Duncan and Aron Baynes.

For Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant led the way with 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, adding nine rebounds, five assists and a block. Westbrook scored 25 points on 9-of-21 shooting with seven assists and five rebounds. Kendrick Perkins was the only other Thunder starter who scored at all, ending the game with five points.

San Antonio had a balanced attack led by Duncan, who dropped a team-high 27 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. Leonard had 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting, grabbing six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Manu Ginobili had 18 points off the bench.

Game 2 is set for 9 p.m. ET Wednesday in San Antonio. The game will air on TNT.
