NBA Draft lottery 2014: Time, TV schedule and more
The Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites to win the 2014 NBA Draft lottery. When can you tune in?

Now it’s time to see if the tanking, or the less intentional losing, pays off.
The 2014 NBA Draft lottery will take place in New York on Tuesday, and the 14 non-playoff teams in the league will find out if luck is on their side. The Milwaukee Bucks have a 25-percent shot at the first overall pick in this year's draft, but the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic also have a solid shot at moving into the top spot, as well.

How does it work?
Based on record, the 14 lottery teams will be given a percentage of four-digit numbers that represent them. Losing teams are more likely to win the lottery by having better odds -- i.e., more combinations, out of a possible 1,000 (techncially there are 1,001 combinations possible and one is given to no team). Four balls with single numerals on them will be drawn out of a bin to determine the combinations. The balls will be replaced after each pick. If a combination of a team that has already won a top-three pick is selected again, the balls will be replaced and the process will begin until another team’s combination is chosen.
This process will determine the first three teams in the draft lottery, and the fourth through 14th picks will be determined by the remaining teams’ regular seasons standings, from worst to best.
