Good morning, we have an NBA finals rematch

Good morning. Let’s basketball.

SPURS. AGAIN. They just never stop being awesome. San Antonio won a berth to its sixth Finals of the Duncan era by beating the Thunder in an insane overtime game. Here’s the recap of the madness. Tony Parker was hampered by injury; Boris Diaw was the leading scorer with 26 off of the bench.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant each broke 30, but they had some rough plays toward the end mixed in with the good. Derek Fisher appears to have played his last game, too, picking up a rather stunning 32 minutes.

The Spurs and Heat meet in San Antonio for Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. On Saturday, Duncan admitted the Spurs had been hoping for a rematch with LeBron and the Heat. They got it.

The most ridiculous play: the Spurs’ harmonic ball movement leading to a Diaw triple. It’s not fair.

VOGEL BACK: The Pacers say that Frank Vogel will remain the coach of the team. We’ll see how the roster looks, though.

THAT WAS FAST: Lance Stephenson’s ear got blown in during a halftime “Simon Says” game at Saturday’s WNBA game in Indy.

UH, STEVE. What’s ‘90s did you live in, man?

Former Nets owner Lewis Katz is dead after a plane crash. Katz owned the team during the Jason Kidd playing era.
