WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS: The Knicks followed in the Nets’ footsteps, and hired a player who hasn’t even really retired to be their coach. This time, it’s Derek Fisher, who signed a reported five-year, $25 million contract. These are Seth Rosenthal’s thoughts on the hire.
OH CAVS: Cleveland reportedly offered John Calipari $60-80 million to coach the team. He declined, and signed his extension with Kentucky. Ricky O’Donnell explains why that was a good idea. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers continue to face questions about whether they will offer Kyrie Irving a max early extension.
STERLING’D: Donald Sterling has changed his mind, and will now basically sue himself. You can’t write fiction stupider than this.
GREATNESS: There are few more relaxing pleasures as a married adult with children than random trips to the movies solo. That LeBron went to see Maleficent by himself on Saturday in San Antonio is another sign of his greatness. That's just good decision-making. 8 a.m. resort yoga with randoms ain't bad either.
