2014 NBA Draft order and schedule: Cavaliers select 1st with drama to follow
Adam Silver gets his first taste of leading an NBA Draft on Thursday, but there will be plenty more drama after he announces the Cleveland Cavaliers’ first overall pick.

The 2014 NBA Draft isn't short on storylines. From commissioner Adam Silver hosting the event through the first round for the first time to the question of who will go first overall, there is bound to be drama.
That drama will most likely include shaking up of the draft order.
The Cavaliers are even fielding trade offers for the first pick from the Orlando Magic, among others. The Sacramento Kings have been dangling their eighth pick as trade bait, and the Chicago Bulls have likewise been willing to part with their 16th and 19th picks to either acquire a veteran or open cap space for their expected free agency pursuit of Carmelo Anthony. The Phoenix Suns have four total picks, and aren't expected to keep all of them. They could trade any for veteran players, future picks or for the ability to move up and down the draft order.
Point is, this year’s draft is expected to be unpredictable.
Nevertheless, here’s a schedule and the order as it stands heading into Thursday.
