The Atlanta Hawks are making a late push to sign unrestricted free agent Pau Gasol to a contract worth at least $11 million per year, reports Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Gasol has reportedly turned down contract offers from the Los Angeles Lakers, and is said to be deciding between a short list of teams.

The Hawks have a loaded frontcourt already with Al Horford and Paul Millsap as their starting big men, but would be able to mix-and-match with Gasol, who can play both center and power forward. Horford has also dealt with injuries throughout his career in Atlanta, and Gasol could make a big impact if he misses time again.
Gasol expects to make a decision soon, and the Hawks have not held extensive discussions with the two-time champion. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks have been involved in the chase for Gasol.
The Lakers appear prepared to move on from Gasol, who joined the franchise in 2008. Los Angeles re-signed Jordan Hill to a two-year, $18 million contract and will likely play incoming rookie Julius Randle extensive minutes at power forward.
