Good morning, the Love Boat is not moving
That and more in Thursday’s NBA newsletter.

Good morning. Let’s basketball.
LOVE BOAT: No, Kevin Love has not yet been traded. I wrote that I think it makes sense for Cleveland to trade Andrew Wiggins for him. Many Cavaliers fans disagree.
SPEAKING OF CLEVELAND: The Cavaliers are in the lead for the services of Ray Allen.
WELP: A kid at Dwyane Wade’s camp asked No. 3 why he flops so much. Wade was not amused.
BIG D: The Mavericks’ excellent offseason continues with Jameer Nelson and Al-Farouq Aminu. Aminu replaces Rashard Lewis, whose contract was voided when it was discovered he needed knee surgery.
STERLING SAGA: Michael McCann breaks down the latest in the proceedings about whether Donald Sterling should have lost control of the family trust. Meanwhile, ESPN published the Clippers’ “bid book” which includes lots of interesting information on what it means financially to own an NBA team.
OMRI BACK: A report from Sactown Royalty indicates that the Kings are interested in bringing Omri Casspi back, potentially at the expense of Quincy Acy.
EMERALD CITY: Two things of note from Seattle. First, an awesome piece by David Vertsberger on Jamal Crawford’s Seattle Pro-Am summer league. Second, some whispers about expansion to Seattle and maybe Louisville once the new national TV deal is ironed out.
PLAYGROUND BASKETBALL IS DYING, by Myron Medcalf and Dana O’Neil.
BLEDSOE: Zach Lowe’s piece on Eric Bledsoe’s botched restricted free agency includes some interesting details on salary cap machinations at the league level.
Happy Thursday. See you next time.
